When I released Robots I patched the .exe for widescreen resolutions
The menu options for resolution ingame aren't what they say they are - they've been modified to be 720p, 1080p, and 4k - use the small chart here to know which is
which
640x480 = 720p (1280x720)
800x600 = 1080p (1920x1080)
1024x768 = 4k (3840x2160)
I also upscaled all of the FMVs in the game, without doing this the game would occasionally black screen and crash when trying to play them as they are by default
